Married to Nicole, Dad of Jaxson (01.16.2008) and Julianne (03.01.2011) 

After serving at 2 churches - one in Washington State and another in North Carolina for more than 12 years - we accepted the adventurous call of church planting and moved back to my home state of Arkansas in 2013 and planted The Refuge.

I'm crazy about technology, social media, college football, fish tacos, Apple products, good coffee, Reformed theology, reading on my Kindle, listening to podcasts, well written TV shows, and homemade chocolate chip cookies.

A Brief History of our Brief History
The Refuge was started as a new, modern, fresh Christian Church with generous support and funding from our sponsor church, Southside Baptist.

We dreamed of a church with a casual atmosphere, good music, plenty of hot coffee, fun classes for kids, and sermons that teach straight from the Bible while being engaging, thought provoking, and never boring.

From the first Sunday, we have been committed to being free of church politics, hurtful gossip, and all judgement. 

This great adventure of launching a brand new church from a dream to a thriving reality is ongoing. It is the most fun and the most challenging thing we have ever done. If this excites you at all, we would love to have you join us as we build this church for the glory of God.
