We gather for worship at 9:00 each week. Bring the whole family, we love kids! We have a great nursery and Sunday morning classes for kids.
We take the teaching of Jesus seriously. So much of His teaching is summed up in relationships – loving God and loving people. Sounds pretty simply, right? We try really hard to make those 2 things our main objectives at The Refuge.
As crazy as it sounds - we also believe church should be kinda fun! We take God very seriously - however we don't take ourselves seriously at all. We are a bunch of regular people who serve a great God. Sunday at The Refuge always include: great music, meaningful prayer, hot coffee, genuine laughter, a cookie or two, and a few "Wow - God really wanted me to hear that today!" moments.
We also really believe a church should be the “hands and feet of Jesus” in the community. This means you will always see us volunteering and meeting needs in our schools, sports leagues, nonprofits...
We only have one rule: No perfect people allowed. We are all a work-in-progress - and we all know it.
So as long as you are not perfect, we would love for you to worship with us. We are located in the heart of Redfield - right next to the grocery store. We can't wait to see you!
Don't Worry!
We understand - coming to a church you have never been to before is kinda intimidating. We've been there. You have nothing to worry about! Even if you have never been to church - or maybe it has been a really long time - you will be welcomed by new friends and we will not do anything to single you out. We promise!
No Church Clothes Needed.
Don't get dressed up on our account - come in your shorts or jeans and you'll fit right in!
We Simply Try To Be Real.
Don’t try to get it all together before you come visit. We are normal, imperfect people. Our lives are even pretty messy at times. However, we are experiencing a tranformational relationship with Jesus and with each other. We don't have this Christianity thing figured out, but we are working on it. We have come to understand Christ will always make something beautiful out of our mess. We would love to have you be part of this journey with us.
